Jeanne Pedersen
Jeanne has lived in Loftus for 86 years, was a professional Dressmaker, making many wedding outfits amongst other things.
She has always loved creating things, so maybe that is why she loves her art so much. Jeanne first undertook a Weaving Certificate at Gymea Tafe in 1978, then undertook an Art Certificate covering Photography in 1981 which took 5 years to complete whilst working part time at Grace Bros. At Miranda.
The next course Jeanne undertook was a Chinese Painting Certificate at Oatley TAFE and this year has begun Term 1 of another Chinese painting course this time at Jannali TAFE.
Jeanne admit she still loves painting and making various types of things and says it keeps her sane and counts this as one of the best things she has done in her life.
